In 2021, Irving Construction completed a new 4,200 square-foot addition to the historic Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb, Illinois. The 2-story addition consists of 4 restrooms (featuring 27 stalls, 15 urinals, and 20 sinks), 4 concession stations, kitchen prep, and storage.
The project also included the addition of air conditioning. Since opening in 1929, the Egyptian Theatre never had air-conditioning. As a result, the Theatre was closed during the summer months. This project now allows the Theatre to be open year-round.
