Recently completed by Irving Construction Co., Inc. is the DeKalb Area Retirement Center – Oak Crest ‘s Independent Living Addition with a Pool/Fitness Wellness Center. As Construction Manager and General Contractor, Irving worked with Mark Zinni Architects- Architect, TGRWA- Structural Engineer, RTM Associates- Mechanicals Engineer, Oak Crest’s Interior Designer- KDI Design as well as over 40 Contractors for completion of this stunning addition. The 30 acre + retirement community located in DeKalb, IL is a beautiful, well maintained facility that was expanded by Steve Irving and his team to give Oak Crest larger, customized independent living apartments and a recreational pool/spa, with an expanded fitness center. Included in the layout is a bistro/pub, indoor parking, large entry living room with fireplace and a gallery hall. The retirement complex draws couples & individuals from DeKalb as well as many Northern Illinois towns including Sycamore, Cortland, Lee, Genoa, Shabbona, Dixon, Plano, Kingston and beyond.
